From 1894 to mid-century, the Parkinson firm played a primary role in shaping the character of downtown L.A. The last notable structure to the firm's credit is the 1961 Pacific Telephone Microwave Tower (#56 below).
While scores of fine Parkinson buildings have been demolished to make way for progress, to date, almost 60 of them have survived in the downtown Los Angeles area alone! And, for the vast majority of these, we maintain in our collection their original architectural and structural drawings, as well as renderings, photographs, and historical data.
We invite inquiries and archival donations relating to any of these remaining historical treasures.
